Omega Speedmaster “Luna Grey”Dark Side of the Moon(AAA)

This Omega Speedmaster “Luna Grey” watch features a 44.25 mm case, masterfully crafted from grey ceramic with polished, brushed and plasma-treated finishes. It is designed to pay tribute to Omega’s illustrious heritage in space exploration. The bezel is also made of brushed grey ceramic, adorned with laser-engraved tachymeter scale coated with white Super-LumiNova luminous material. Beneath the sapphire crystal, Omega’s profound connection with the Moon unfolds before the eyes: the movement’s rotor and bridges have undergone special finishing and decoration, employing laser ablation technology to vividly replicate the authentic landscape of the lunar surface. Through the skeletonised dial made of grey anodised aluminium, the “near side” of the Moon—the visible face from Earth—can be clearly seen, while the case back showcases the “far side” of the Moon. The watch dial houses a small seconds sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position, a 30-minute chronograph sub-dial at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour chronograph sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The Moonwatch-style hands and chamfered hour markers are all greyed out and coated with white Super-LumiNova luminous material, emitting a green glow in low-light conditions. Powering the watch is the specially finished Omega Calibre 3869 Master Chronometer movement. The case back is engraved with a famous quote by Jim Lovell, the command module astronaut during the Apollo 8 mission: “THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY”. The watch is fitted with a grey rubber strap decorated with a lunar surface pattern on its inner side, and secured by a ceramic deployant clasp equipped with a ceramized titanium spring deployment mechanism.
